CHEA 2011: Camping, Day 2 (May 24)

The first night went really well, visiting past dark with our dear friends and awaiting visiting with even more dear friends!

Bible time around the old campfire.

Reviewing our Verse A Day work!

Enjoying the beautiful day that the Lord had made!

Walking hither and yon....coming back from the trash dumpster. It was all you can trash—our favorite!

Getting athletic.

Poetry in motion -- Sarah is a poet!

Where it comes down, nobody knows.

Looking both ways.

Track ball buddies.

Dear friends brought a hearty, delicious hot lunch for us all.

Fellowship with friends.

Keeping the kids off their feet.

Nothing is out of bounds.

Daddy time.

We were outnumbered!

3 John 1:13, 14

I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:

But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

Time for more hot dogs! Hot dog!

HOT DOG!

Something about Wisconsin and eating cookies...

After all our hopes and dreams have come and gone

And our children sift through all we've left behind...

May the clues that they discover

And the memories they uncover

Become the light that leads them

To the road we each must find

Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful

May the fire of our devotion light their way

May the footprints that we leave

Lead them to believe

And the lives we live inspire them to obey

Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful.

I was there too! I recognize the Dyers and Jones (I go to CYIA missions camp same as the Jones kids), though we were only there for the second and third day. Wow. It was so much fun! I just wish that the attendance picks up next year.
Sincerely in Christ,
